Three more couples tied the knot on something of an epic weekend with weddings at Eastwell Manor, Squerryes Court and Turkey Mill. First up was our third visit of the year to Eastwell Manor for Susan and Mark’s wedding reception …

With severe weather forecast for the Saturday, Susan and Mark dodged the bad weather on the Friday with a great evening in the Spa function room.

We arrived at Eastwell Manor at around 4pm to give ourselves plenty of time to set up in a slightly different way for this one as on our last visit we discovered that the ceiling height was slightly too low to accommodate our arch, following that we purchased four fantastic plinths which give us a great alternative set up for venues that have lower ceilings. The plinths can also be uplit with as well as being able to mount moving lighting fixtures on, its a slightly different look to the arch but an ideal alternative.

I had been round to meet Susan and Mark at home last winter to talk over music for the wedding and it transpired they were big rock fans so the plan was to start the evening more along the lines of the pop theme and party classics and holding back the rock till after the buffet had been consumed.

Despite the buffet being served in an upstairs room the crowd of just under a hundred ensured that the floor kept ticking over and at around 10:30 the the half hour rock set kick started a memorable end to the night with the music then veering towards 90’s club classics before Susan and Mark’s final planned song, there was even time for a three song encore before proceedings came to an end just after midnight. It was most definately a night that could have easily carried on for at least another hour but on this occasion we were limited to a 12am finish.

So a great start to the weekend and congratulations to Susan and Mark as they start their married lives together. We got away just before 1am with one eye on the weather as we made our way back in preparation for what was to prove to be one of the wettest wedding experiences on the Saturday at Squerryes Court in Westerham.
