Personal friends of ours Angela & Stewart booked our Uplighting Package with Dance Floor, First Dance Cam and Selfie Mirror upgrades for their wedding at Stoke Place in Stoke Poges near Slough on 4 June 2016.

This was our first visit to Stoke Place so a new venue for us. We arrived late morning to set up a speaker for background music during the drinks reception once the newlyweds returned from the church, followed by background music during the meal then the disco which went ended up going through till 1:20am.
The evening reception takes place in a separate area to the meal so to tie this in with the wedding breakfast room we supplied plenty of Uplighting to tie in with Angela & Stewarts teal colour scheme which looked really cool, we also installed a 12×12 White Starlit Dance Floor, our First Dance Cam and this wedding also saw our brand new Selfie Mirror go out for the first time.
Angela and Stuart were kind enough to also supply us with a room for the night so we had the pleasure of packing up the following morning with a sore head …however the lovely breakfast at Stoke Place smoothed over the cracks a little.
We thought it was a great venue, very well thought out …and the party room is excellent with the bar close by and access to the gardens which is great on a warm summers night. Accommodation was superb, we were located in the chef’s garden rooms …talking of the chef a special mention for the wonderful meal which consisted of Lamb, Spinach and Potato …top marks for that and much needed midway through a long day.
If you are a performer visiting Stoke Place access is very straight forward, however there is a sound limiter installed at the venue, fortunately the management allowed us to plug into an alternative plug socket due to the fact we didn’t bring along any bass speakers but later on in the evening volume levels may be monitored using a hand held reader due to previous complaints from the neighbours in the close vicinity. Haze is not permitted due to smoke detectors present above the dancing area.
Excellent venue and always great to work at a friends wedding, especially with free alcohol and plenty of friends to observe getting slowly drunk …one had an even more exceptional wedding experience after losing his suit, a shoe, got kicked out the bridesmaids bedroom, slept in a hammock and indulged in two breakfasts the following morning …top wedding skills Rich “Nipples’ Dewar.
