tyre blowout at 70mph
Saturday night saw us back at another one of our familiar local venues, Lympne Castle.
En route to this wedding we suffered a tyre blow out at 70mph on the M20 just before the Port Lympne turn off, we were running early at the time but we would like to take this opportunity (bride and groom also) to say a huge thank you to Wills Mobile Tyres.
Will was on the scene within 45 mins and the tyre was fixed instantly, top service indeed. Hopefully you won’t ever need it but anyone in Kent should make a note of this number just in case 07845 672 152. As far as Green Flag, the AA and RAC are concerned, none could of got to us within 3 hours …thanks again Will for your excellent service, we have left a review on your facebook page.

Access is very straight forward at Lympne Castle, you pull up to the arched door and you can usually gain access following the wedding breakfast at around 630-7pm. I have played here quite a few times with usually plug and play or creative mood lighting package but a few years back I did supply my total music package which gives background music during the meal, in that instance you can set up a speaker in the room and co-oridinate the music from the bar area.
The bar area is in the room adjacent to the wedding breakfast, this is great as it keeps guests there or thereabouts during the evening, with the buffet served in the adjacent room on the other side the whole reception is quite tight knit so there’s not a lot of people in different parts of the castle which always helps when providing evening entertainment.
The disco room itself is a nice room, sounds good and there are 4 huge gorgeous windows that benefit greatly from uplighters, on this occasion Sharon had booked 6 and we set them to pink with the other 2 being used in the fireplace. For DJ’s visiting the venue, they do not allow the use of smoke despite the detector being very high up but on the plus side there is no sound limiter.
The evening itself was a mix of latest charts and rock music over the past 4 years which was requested by the bride and groom but with all guests keen to party we added in a few 90’s favourites and Motown which also went down very well. Unfortunately there’s not a playlist for this one as a certain “best man” decided to close my laptop down at midnight thinking I had played the last song, but with still the bride and grooms final song to play everything had to be rebooted and we got the final song played almost immediately but unfortunately I lost the opportunity to save the playlist in the process.
As far as the bride and groom are concerned, I’d like to also take this opportunity to say thank you for your decency and understanding regarding the problem we had on the way, fortunately we were only about 30mins delayed after we worked liked a bat out of hell to get things set up, it was most definately worth it aswell as it turned into a great night and we wish you all the best for the future. As a way of showing our gratitude to you we have sent you the full collection of photos to you free of charge on a disc in high resolution for you to add to your wedding memories.

Hi
We are looking for a DJ and sax player (along with some lightning) 20:00-000 Friday 1st September at lympne castle for our wedding. Would you be available and if so could you share some packages please? As well as any imagines of set up you’ve used there before. Thanks
