The Little Hermitage in Higham is our most local major wedding venue.

There are a number of different things that we feel make this a top choice when choosing your wedding venue in Kent starting with the fact that this is a family run business and not part of a commercial conveyor belt …and from an outside suppliers perspective this always makes a very noticeable difference.

A family run businesses will always go the extra mile to please the client and we understand this as much as anyone. Its especially important to do this as when its your own business because you are not working for someone else and its your own reputation at stake. The personal touch, overall quality of service and eagerness to please results in positive testimonials and maintains reputation.

The venue is a Grade II listed Georgian manor house built in the 18th century, despite its very close access to the M2 motorway it boasts a secluded rural feel with secluded gardens, a gazebo and a fountain. The video below is a walk through of the disco room, and bar during a wedding whilst the speeches are taking place, also show is the front of the house including an uplighting install on the pillars.

As seen in the video above the front of the house has 8 stunning pillars, on every occasion we have worked at this venue we have provided our uplighting package and washed the pillars in the colour of the brides choice. There are some photos below to show this plus a video filmed at the end of the wedding of Robyn and Ross’s in August 2014.

I love the fact here that the disco room is separate to the wedding breakfast room because in my own experience its great for the guests to have somewhere different to experience for the evening. What is also very well thought out is keeping the bar in close proximity to the dance floor. The venue also have a PA installed in the wedding breakfast room which is great for background music and speeches for which a microphone is provided.

The disco room itself is installed with some lighting so what we usually do is bring in the sound system and some additional lighting for the evening. The uplighting package comes with 10 up lighters, 6 or 8 can be used on the pillars at the front leaving a couple leftover for the bar area and disco room, so in terms of that package a lot can be done which the emphasis on the house pillars which look as stunning as any others I’ve seen.

We can install our own booth over the well in the disco room or we can use the venues built in Dj booth, using the venues booth does free up more dancing space plus it gives guests an opportunity to observe the unique well that is lit up during the evening which is always an interesting aspect for the guests.

The gazebo at The Little Hermitage is licensed for outdoor weddings and if the weather is indifferent then the Ivory Room provides an indoor option.

If you are getting married at the Little Hermitage and need any further information on any of our packages or services please feel free to contact us for more information.
