For this weekends only wedding we were back at in Tenterden at The Little Silver Country Hotel where we had had such a good night at the start of the month for Amy & Craig’s wedding, click here to to read our review of the venue from that wedding.

We arrived at at 630 in Tenterden raring to go with batteries fully recharged after a nice 7 day break since our gig last week with Stavros Flatley, Hannah & Richard had been booked in for ages and like so many of the weddings I do they just seem to come round so quickly.

After our previous visit we were really excited about going back to the venue again …and as before it proved to be another excellent night at The Little Silver with a happy go lucky crowd and a bit of something for everyone on the playlist plus plenty of guest requests on the night.

We got into the hall around 715 with the first dance scheduled for 830 so plenty of time as the access is very straight forward and it only takes a short time to get everything into the Kent Hall. Richard had provided around 30 songs he would like to be played with the emphasis of the rest of the night on 70’s disco, 80’s and some of the original popular uk garage tunes from the 90’s.

We even managed to throw in a few drum and bass tunes towards the end as requested by a couple of guys in the crowd who had done a bit of d&b radio work. “Irish Rover” also went down particularly with this crowd, but I guess the star of the show this week other than the bride and groom was Hannah’s friend James who had been requested by the bride to do a bit of a voice over on a couple of Killers tracks …problem is once they get a taste for it you can’t get the buggers off the mic lol. Anyway he was great value and everyone seemed to love it.

We wrapped up the evening at midnight, Hannah came and spoke to us during the evening to tell us she was impressed with the lighting which is always nice when a client appreciates what we set up, and both bride and groom came and thanked us at the end which is the perfect way for us to end the night and achieve job satisfaction

So congratulations to our latest newleyweds Hannah and Richard. Next week there’s a bit of a Latin flavour as we are with Claudia and Peter for their wedding at a rarely used Tithe Barn in Kent, we are installing 16 uplighters in the morning along with the kit and returning for the evening
