Saturday we were back at Eastwell Manor again in The Pavilion suite for Andrew & Graeme’s Civil Partnership providing our uplighting package with Black Starlit Dance Floor Upgrade.

I have reviewed The Pavilion previously, this review enforces everything I have said previously about the venue and once again it gives me great pleasure to report that this was an absolutely amazing night, reports came back to me from our guy who collected the dance floor in the morning that people were raving about it over breakfast which was great to hear. Graeme has since left a testimonial which can be seen beneath this review.

The Pavilion is a great environment for a party, the size is perfect and able to accommodate quite a large number of guests thanks to its patio doors which open out on the terrace which is great on a warm night. On this night there were around 150 fab partygoers, everyone was up for a great time and the ambience created in the room with the uplighting and dance floor really did set everything up for the perfect night.

I have played here probably more times than any other venue, the majority of the times we install a dance floor usually the white starlit. This was the first time we had installed the black version and I think if I was planning my own function here I would go for the black one every time. The main reason being that white floors can make compact rooms quite bright whereas the black version reflects less light, combined with uplighting it completely transforms the room from the plain wooden floor that comes as standard.

Its not possible to install the arch here due to the height of the ceiling but the plinths work superbly in this room anyway, on this occasion I tried something slightly different and installed one on each corner of the floor and it looked absolutely fantastic as you can see from the photos. Standing at the bar looking towards the disco it gave a very classy 3D type of effect and a very inviting area for the dancing to take place.

The other option you have at this venue is to have some uplighting outside which I have done several times previously, this is usually weather dependent but if its something you would like just let us know and we can organise this for you.

So, onto the night …guests started to filter over from the reception at around 8pm and after around half an hours worth of warm up background music Shirley Bassey (accompanied by Andrew & Graeme) really did get the party started, I managed to grab the last minute or so on video which captures the energy in the room but it was high energy stuff from the first bar and was the blueprint for the entire evening.

Another great thing about The Pavilion from my point of view is the combination of excellent acoustics and the EV sound system I use. Sound is a very interesting element, I won’t bore you with the science behind it but in short setting up sound and manipulating its movement in different environments comes down to experience, it can sound so different depending on the layout of the room and the height of the ceiling, if you need any advice on this for your wedding venue feel free to drop us a line and we will be happy to advise you.

A big thanks to Andrew & Graeme for giving me the opportunity to enjoy another amazing Civil Partnership following on from Phil and Julians amazing New Years Eve event. I’ve since heard you had a great time in Corfu on the honeymoon and we wish you all the best for the future.

Eastwell Manor …always a pleasure !
