Phil has performed at over 800 events including more than 600 weddings during his 10 year career as a Professional DJ and prior to creating Choice Entertainment he worked for an event management company where he organised quality entertainment for important occasions. Over the past 10 years he has played at almost every major hotel and venue throughout London, Kent and the South East. He professionally mixes whatever style of music he is playing and having studied "Musicology" there isnt any genre of music he doesnt connect with, making him versatile in all areas.

On the business side, you have the peace of mind knowing you are dealing with a professional. Your booking is confirmed in writing and there is always an opportunity for you to call and change any aspect of your booking requirements. I will only use quality equipment, play the music you want to hear and i carry a music library spanning 60 years to every event to ensure that you have chosen the best Disco for your event!

Mobile Discos sometimes deservedly get bad press. I get phone calls on a regualar basis from people wanting to make a last minute booking because the DJ has let them down, or the venue has refused them access for not having insurance. In fairness most of these discos are amatuers who are not tax-registered and their equipment can be unreliable. I always amazes me that someone who has spent good money on a venue, catering for the most important day of their life would risk the whole night, It's often said, but you usually do get what you pay for.. At Choice Entertainment I do things very differently. I bring my years of event management and business experience to the Mobile Disco circuit. This is MY reputation, MY business and MY income, these are not things I take lightly, because of this I approach business in a professional manner. If you really want the cheapest disco regardless of quality then I am probably not going to be your cheapest option, however if you want a professional, reliable DJ & disco at a competitive price you might be surprised at the cost of peace of mind.

 

a passion for music

I am passionate about music and some of the beautiful venues I am fortunate enough to work at in and around the south of England. Music bridges the gap between race, religion, poverty and wealth whatever walk of life your from. It is such a diverse part of life and can trigger all sorts of memories and emotions, a bit like a nice perfume or aftershave. Music also has the power to bring groups of people previously unknown to each other to come together to party on somebodys special night. I love playing anything that people enjoy hearing, its not all about what I want to play its what the audience want to hear as there are plenty of nights that I will play music that I wouldnt listen to in the car or at home. I endevour to make a connection with a crowd and get everybody jumping by the end of the night, I want to see everyone go home with a smile on their face and a song in their head, thats what gives me job satisfaction and makes me feel that i have contributed towards the success of a clients special night

 

MUSIC INFLUENCES

Phils specialist area is 90s Dance Anthems and has preferred mixing styles of Soul, Disco, 90s Old Skool, Dance Anthems, Indie Rock, Funky House, Latest Charts & Pop but he doesnt expect clients to want him to play all of them. His experience and knowledge of music ensure he will keep your dancefloor rotating for the duration of your function and not just for one track.
