the most valuable asset iv learnt from my time as a Dj is...
I have been a Professional Dj since 2000 and have Dj'd at around a thousand events, predominantly in the wedding industry. I also undertake quite a lot of work in the corporate sector during the festive season and of course the birthdays and engagement partys that are ongoing throughout the year. Having played at many of the wedding venues and hotels throughout the South East and with a background in event management, I have developed the experience and skills required to ensure the sound and lighting all comes together on a clients special day.
Being in my thirties I feel that im at a very good age to relate musically to all people. I was born in the "disco" 70s when my parents were listening to all the good things that came out of the 60s, I went to school in the "new romantic" 80s, I did the majority of my going out in the "ibiza" 90s which personally I think was a fantastic era for music and of course whilst iv been a Dj there are all the latest chart sounds over the past decade that we are all familiar with. So whatever I am playing I can relate to it.
If you asked me what the most valuable asset iv learnt from my time as a Dj is, I would say the knowledge of knowing what song to play next!
I started Choice Entertainment from nothing, I was out driving in the car one day and had just purchased some equipment for a New Years Eve function I was promoting and DJ'ing at.
I can honestly say I have a natural love and interest in all areas of music so maybe it was a natural step to be able to create something to enable me to earn a living working in the entertainment industry. I am fortunate that I can say "I love my job" and I also love the challenge each time I go to work, sometimes the venues are familiar but the people are always different and that presents me with a new challenge from the moment I play the first song. I have put a lot of time and energy into developing Choice Entertainment and have always felt the desire to invest in only modern professional equipment so that I offer the best possible experience "on the night" ! Im very proud of the way the business has grown over the years.
I’m still obsessed with music all these years later and it fascinates me the impact music has on peoples lives. Wherever I am there is music ....whether its at home, in the car or best of all at work. I also play acoustic guitar in my spare time and am a big fan of Oasis.
I am very much a Dj that concentrates on playing music !
